1. Who is responsible

The data controller for Athletiq is the operator of athletiq.health. Contact: info@athletiq.health.

2. Data we collect

Depending on how you use the product, we may process:

• Account data: email, name, authentication identifiers (including Google sign-in if you choose it).
• Athlete profile: sport, goals, training availability, preferences, language, units.
• Training and health-related inputs you provide: workouts, RPE, recovery check-ins, nutrition intake, competitions, personal records.
• Usage data: device/browser info, IP address, logs needed for security and reliability.
• Payment data: handled by Stripe; we store subscription status and related billing metadata, not full card numbers.

3. How we use data

We use your data to provide and improve Athletiq, including:

• Creating accounts, authenticating users, and securing the service.
• Generating training plans, nutrition guidance, analytics, and AI coaching with your historical athlete context.
• Sending transactional emails (plan ready, reports, security/account messages) when enabled.
• Processing subscriptions and customer support.
• Complying with legal obligations and preventing abuse.

4. AI processing

Some features send relevant athlete context to third-party AI providers (for example OpenAI) to generate plans and coaching responses. We do this only to deliver the product features you request. Do not submit data you are not comfortable sharing with our processors.

5. Legal bases (EEA/UK where applicable)

We process data based on contract performance (providing the service), legitimate interests (security, product improvement), consent where required (certain cookies/marketing), and legal obligations.

6. Sharing

We share data with service providers that help us run Athletiq (hosting, database/auth, email, payments, AI). They process data under instructions and appropriate safeguards. We do not sell your personal data.

7. Retention

We retain account and athlete data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward as needed for backups, disputes, and legal requirements. You may request deletion of your account data as described below.

8. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, rectify, delete, restrict, or port your data, and to object to certain processing. Contact info@athletiq.health. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

9. Security

We use industry-standard measures (encryption in transit, access controls, row-level security where applicable). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

10. Children

Athletiq is not directed to children under 16 (or the minimum age required in your country). If you believe a child provided data, contact us to delete it.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. We will post the new version on this page and update the “Last updated” date.
